Media Operations Information

Media Credentials

Florida Citrus Sports works with the media relations directors of the participating schools to review the list of applicants for game credentials. First priority will be given to outlets which regularly cover one of the participating schools or FCSports.

Media members who have been approved may pick up their credentials at the time and place stated for the respective game.

Please Note: No credentials will be mailed except those to be distributed by the schools to their local media prior to departure for Orlando.

Approved media will be added to an e-mail list with any pertinent updates related to the game.

To obtain your media credential you must:

  • Be approved by the media relations directors of the participating schools OR FCSports Communications
  • Come to the stated pickup location during the dates/times provided for pick-up OR at Media Will Call on gameday.
  • Present a government-issued photo ID.
  • Sign your name on the credential registration form.

Please Note: For security reasons, credentials will only be issued to the recipients named on the credential application. One person cannot obtain media credentials for any other members of his or her media agency without prior communication and approval from FCSports Communications.

Media Parking

A limited number of parking passes, issued on a priority basis, are available. Parking passes may be applied for during the credential application process. If approved, parking passes will be available along with media credentials at the stated pickup location and times.

Please Note: Parking passes MUST be picked up before game day.

Satellite Trucks & News Vans

TV stations planning to bring satellite trucks to the game must notify Matt Repchak at least 48 hours prior to gameday to secure a parking spot at the stadium. Requests are subject to availability as space is limited.

For news vans wanting ONLY to shoot outside the stadium, please do not request a satellite parking pass or credentials. They are not required unless you are going live from inside the stadium.

Media Entrance

The media entrance on gameday is located at Camping World Stadium’s south end at the Varsity Club Box Office inside the Citrus Centre. Will Call will open three hours before kickoff and close 30 minutes after kickoff. All bags entering the stadium will be searched. Please allow extra time for entry into the stadium on gameday. The media entrance opens three hours prior to kickoff.

For media members who need to enter the stadium earlier in the day, credentials gain admittance on gameday starting four hours prior to kickoff through the stadium’s security entrance near Gate D.

Press Box WiFi/Internet

The Tom Mickle Press Box is equipped with high-speed internet through both wireless and hard-wired Ethernet at each seat. Please bring your own cabling if you plan to utilize the Ethernet.

Internet Policy

No online internet service will be allowed “real time” transmission of the game. Only contractual rights-fees paying media will be allowed “real time” transmission during the event. “Real Time” is defined as any online media providing live continual play-by-play coverage of an event. Outlets planning to cover the game using blogs or social media applications should note that on their credential application.

Frequency Coordination

Florida Citrus Sports games are frequency coordinated events. Once credentialed, media members will be sent information on coordinating with the official in charge of radio frequencies. Information will be provided to all applicable credentialed media. Lack of compliance with this rule will result in the credential recipient being escorted from the stadium.

Photography Regulations

Photo passes will be issued only to accredited photographers and videographers on assignment and photographers authorized by Florida Citrus Sports. No unaffiliated freelance photographers or journalists without a need to cover a live sporting event will be granted credentials.

Photo passes grant access to sidelines and the Photo Work Room. Under NCAA rules, photographers are not allowed between the 25-yard lines and must remain outside the restraining lines surrounding the playing field.

Photo Workroom

The Photo Workroom will be located in the Varsity Club, in the stadium’s South end. The Photo Workroom is equipped with high-speed internet through both wireless and hard-wired Ethernet at each seat.

A pregame meal will be provided to credentialed photojournalists starting no later than two hours prior to kickoff. Credentialed media with TV-Photo passes are encouraged to eat in the Photo Workroom as space in the press box will be limited.

TV-Photo vests are required to shoot from the designated sideline photo lanes. Vests must be signed out for and returned to the station located in the Photo Workroom.
