Position Description
The bowl week runner will assist the entire office leading up to and during bowl week. Working New Year’s Day is an absolute requirement for this position.

General Responsibilities
Assist all departments in preparation for and during bowl week.

The Bowl Week Runner will assist with the following items:

• Pick up and drop off items to and from team hotels
• Deliver event items to venues
• Assist in vendor load-ins and load-outs
• Team arrival setup and breakdown
• Pick up and drop event signage from Vendors

The Bowl Runner will assist with the following events:

• Cheez-It Bowl (ancillary events included)
• Citrus Bowl (ancillary events included)

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following credentials:

• Minimum one (1) previous internship or volunteer experience within the sports industry or event hospitality field
• Ability to lift moderate to heavy objects frequently (max 50lbs)
• Able to operate a Box Truck or oversized van
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and the ability to travel throughout the local Central Florida area
• Self-motivated team player with a great attitude
• Experience in prioritizing a heavy workload and the ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and minimal supervision
• Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Smartsheet

Commitment

This seasonal position runs from December 11, 2023 – January 5, 2023. The position will be paid hourly and is eligible for overtime pay for hours more than 40 hours/week based on a Sunday – Saturday work week.

The bowl week runner will be required to successfully complete a background check and motor vehicle driving check.
