City of Orlando breaks ground on Camping World Stadium upgrades
Renovations are underway at Camping World Stadium, with crews hard at work upgrading several features throughout the complex. Updates will include additional seating in the north end zone, a new mezzanine club level, improved parking and wayfinding and more. Learn more.

Speaking of events, Camping World Stadium is putting the pedal to the metal this February: Over the course of three weekends, the stadium will host two Monster Energy Supercross competitions and its annual Monster Jam extravaganza.
Florida Citrus Sports partners with Pop Warner
Further building on our commitment to bringing economic and social impact to the Central Florida region, Florida Citrus Sports has entered a partnership with Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. to host the Pop Warner Super Bowl and National Cheer and Dance Championships at Camping World Stadium and throughout the West Lakes communities.
The multi-year agreement with the iconic youth sports non-profit took effect with the 2020 National Cheer and Dance Championships during the first week of December. The Pop Warner Super Bowl, the organization’s premier football event, will return in 2021. Learn more.
From Citrus Bowl to Super Bowl
Did you know that one of Orlando’s highest-profile bowl alums will take center stage at Super Bowl LV as Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers become the first NFL team host a Super Bowl on their home field?
Brady led Michigan to a 45-31 victory over Arkansas in the 1999 edition of today’s Vrbo Citrus Bowl. Brady completed 14 of his 27 passing attempts for 209 yards and a touchdown as the Wolverines closed a 10-3 season ranked 12th in the final AP and Coaches polls.
FCS Board Member Justin Kinsey honored by Orlando Magic
Congratulations to Florida Citrus Sports member Justin Kinsey, who was honored as a Social Justice Game Changer by the Orlando Magic during their game with the Charlotte Hornets on Jan. 26.
Justin played a leading role in organizing the “Better Together” Community Drive-In event at Camping World Stadium in October. He also serves on the City of Orlando Mayor’s MLK Commission, leads a male student-athlete group called B.R.O.T.H.E.R.S at UCF and worked with Orlando District 5 Commissioner Regina Hill on pathways to employment for former felons. We’re rolling out the mats again! Come join us on the field of Camping Word Stadium for a one-hour session with one of our favorite local instructors, Carolyn Barry, followed by a complimentary socially distanced happy hour.

Collegiate Esports Symposium
Feb. 18 & 19 | 1 – 5 p.m.
Florida Citrus Sports is hosting a free virtual symposium focused on the growth and development of collegiate esports programs.
The event is presented in partnership with Full Sail University with additional support from Esports at UCF.
The symposium will be held Thursday, Feb. 18 and Friday, Feb. 19, from 1-5 p.m. each day. The daily program will include several featured sessions and one open ‘networking’ discussion session at the end of the day. Confirmed panels will focus on Events, Program Admin/Development, Post-College Careers and Health & Wellness, plus spotlights on notable programs and conferences.

It’s no small feat hosting two major bowl games in four days, and Florida Citrus Sports is grateful to all the volunteers who helped make this bowl season such a great success despite the unprecedented circumstances.
