2016 Camping World Kickoff Game is Sold Out

The inaugural Camping World Kickoff between Ole Miss and Florida State will be played before a sellout crowd on Monday night. Florida Citrus Sports Chief Executive Officer Steve Hogan announced today that all remaining seats for the September 5 game have been sold. In response to the overwhelming demand, the organization is releasing a small number of standing room only tickets in the north end zone of Camping World Stadium.

“The interest in this game has been extraordinary, and we’re excited to pack the house on Monday night,” said Hogan. “Florida State and Ole Miss have put Orlando at the center of the national conversation leading up to Labor Day. We can’t wait to kick this game off in front of a capacity crowd and a national television audience on ESPN.”

The limited standing room tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis via Ticketmaster.com. The standing room area will be located on the Camping World Fan Deck, in the north end zone of the stadium.

Fans looking for reserved seat tickets on the secondary market are encouraged to use TM+, Ticketmaster’s official resale marketplace. TM+ is the only way to guarantee authentic tickets. The TM+ marketplace can be accessed through the regular Camping World Kickoff page on Ticketmaster.com.

In addition, fans can access reserved seats as part of Hospitality and Travel packages from PrimeSport, the official VIP hospitality and travel package provider of the Camping World Kickoff. PrimeSport packages include premium seating and access to the pregame Touchdown Tailgate Hospitality Tent, featuring all-inclusive food, beer and wine. More information is available at PrimeSport.com.

The Camping World Kickoff takes place on September 5, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN. The game is the second event (and first college game) at Camping World Stadium to utilize increased security measures to ensure fan safety. Florida Citrus Sports will implement an NFL-style ‘clear bag’ policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the Camping World Stadium. In addition, stadium officials will utilize magnetic wanding at all gates. More information is available at CampingWorldKickoff.com and CampingWorldStadium.com. Guests are encouraged to come to the stadium earlier than normal to mitigate any delays in entry. Stadium gates will open at 6:00 p.m.

This will be the seventh neutral site game for the Seminoles in Orlando as they have posted wins over Memphis State (1990), Notre Dame (1994), Duke (1995) and Wake Forest (1996) while tying Stetson in The City Beautiful in 1952. To date, Ole Miss has no previous appearances in either of the Orlando’s two bowl games. The game will be the first regular-season appearance by a Southeastern Conference (SEC) team since September 28, 1991, when Florida defeated Mississippi State, 29-7 in front of a crowd of 69,328. This will be the second time the Seminoles and Rebels square off on the gridiron. Ole Miss earned a 33-0 victory at home in the only other meeting (1961).

The current attendance record in the stadium post-reconstruction came at last season’s Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl featuring Florida and Michigan which sold out within 24 hours of team announcements. The attendance for the bowl game was 63,113.
