Citrus Bowl Progress Continues On; First Video Board Is Installed
The new Orlando Citrus Bowl is materializing with each passing day. Perhaps one of the most exciting signs of progress this month is the construction of the first of five video display boards that will eventually be positioned throughout the stadium.
In late August, initial construction began on the largest of the new boards. Sized at 38 feet high by 150 feet wide, the main video board sits above the south end zone and will feature over 3000 square feet of LED display.
Two new secondary video boards will be placed in the North East and North West corners above the north end zone. These corner boards will be 30 feet highby 50 feet wide and feature 1500 square feet of LED display each.
All-new ribbon boards along each sideline of the stadium will measure 345 feet in length along the fascia of the terrace level.
Together these state-of-the-art displays will account for 2,819,328 LED lights and give fans the opportunity to view game day content like never before. No matter where they are in the new Orlando Citrus Bowlstadiumfans will be exposed to 360 degrees of video display, making any seat the best seat in the house.
The new displays are scheduled to be complete in mid- to late-October as construction presses on, ready to open to the public in November.
