Loftin (FranNet), McLeod (Ethicon), Connelly (BSN Medical) and Milakovic (Gannett Fleming) all served on the Media Relations Committee, acting in various roles both on game days and throughout bowl week, and were all members of the Team Selection Committee.

A member since 2014, McLeod worked as a field marshal for each of Florida Citrus Sports’ games during the 2017-18 season and also volunteered on the Hospitality Committee. Loftin, a second-year member, also worked in a variety of roles between the press box and the field and was always eager to assist, regardless of the assignment. Milakovic, in his second year as a member and a volunteer, proved invaluable in thankless support roles on each game day.

A member since 2015, Connelly worked in the press box on game days, assisting with food service and stats distribution, among other duties, and volunteered additional time throughout bowl week, including both the Camping World Bowl and Citrus Bowl Day for Kids events. She was also a member of the Hospitality Committee.

Schmidt (FIS) and Leake were both critical to the success of the annual Florida Citrus Parade.

Leake, a third-year member, participated in the float build across several days and also assisted in multiple float moves from the Orange County Convention Center to the parade route downtown. Schmidt, a member since 2015, drove a parade vehicle and contributed to multiple additional bowl-week projects. Schmidt and Leake are each members of the Team Selection Committee and also serve on the Hospitality Committee.

A 10-year member, Yacabucci (Lockheed Martin) serves as the organization’s volunteer coordinator for all events, including both bowl games, and is receiving the award for the second consecutive year. In his role, Yacabucci, a member of the associate board of directors, is responsible for instructing, placing, feeding and managing a team of more than 300 volunteers.

Florida Citrus Sports is grateful to all of our volunteers and members for their support throughout the year, and we look forward to honoring these special members who have done so much for us this past season. Florida Citrus Sports members receive free admission to Member Celebration for themselves and one guest. To RSVP for the event, click here.
