2024-25 LEADERSHIP UPDATE: Line Clary Begins Term as President, Castino Moves to Chairman

As Florida Citrus Sports kicked off its 2024-25 season on April 1, Sharon Line Clary, Vice President of Strategic Marketing & Communications at AdventHealth, officially took over as the organization’s 47th president, while outgoing president Steve Castino of Rehmann began his one-year term as chairman.

Line Clary will lead the day-to-day activities of the organization’s board of directors. In her role with AdventHealth, she oversees strategic marketing for the nationally ranked health care system which encompasses 16 hospitals, 22 emergency rooms, 35 urgent care centers, outpatient facilities/services, a 600+ employed multi-specialty physician practice and 3,400+ medical staff. The Florida State graduate also provides strategic direction for AdventHealth’s sports and entertainment partnerships and strategic alliances, including partnerships with Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts, Daytona International Speedway and the Orlando Magic.

A devoted community leader, Line Clary serves as a founding board member and current President-Elect of WISE Greater Orlando and Chairman of the Board for the Greater Orlando Sports Commission.

As chairman, Castino will continue his role on the board’s executive committee and also oversee Florida Citrus Sports’ team selection committee. The Rollins College graduate served on the organization’s associate board and elected board before joining the executive committee. The Chief Growth Officer of Rehmann oversees all growth-related efforts for the firm. This includes merger and acquisition strategy, forecasting growth as part of their budgeting process, and sales plans and goals. Castino maintains a strong role within the community, serving as finance chair for the Association for Corporate Growth and on the board of directors for Dr. Phillips, Inc. and the Dr. P. Phillips Foundation, Central Florida’s largest grant-making organization. He is also a founding director of One Florida Bank, the largest community bank in Central Florida.

Ed Dougherty has completed his term as chairman but will remain a part of Florida Citrus Sports’ executive committee for two more years. Brian Comes, Vice President of Field Operations, Americas for Hyatt, has been named president-elect and will begin his term in April of 2025. Comes previously served as Treasurer on the executive committee.

Additionally, Joe Doher of BHHS Results Realty, Doug Gehret of Hilton, John Rivers of 4R Restuarant Group and Wayne Sheffield of Isleworth have moved from the elected board to join the board’s executive committee.
