ORLANDO – On Wednesday, Florida Citrus Sports announced a new five-year partnership with Fun Spot America, making the Orlando landmark the Official Theme Park for Florida Citrus Sports, its bowl games and Camping World Stadium.
As part of the deal, Fun Spot America will join AdventHealth, Massey Services and SunPass as one of four main stadium partners. The southwest entrance at Camping World Stadium (Gate D) will be rebranded with Fun Spot America imagery throughout the quadrant. Additionally, Fun Spot America will receive signage within the interior seating bowl and year round multi-media assets.
“At Florida Citrus Sports, we’ve always emphasized family values, and in Fun Spot America, we believe we’ve found the perfect partner,” Florida Citrus Sports CEO Steve Hogan said. “For more than 20 years, Fun Spot America has brought families closer together, and we look forward to working with this incredible organization to do the same at Camping World Stadium.”
Central Florida’s only homegrown, family-owned theme park, Fun Spot America’s original Orlando location opened in December 1997 and is now in its third decade in the market. The company also operates Fun Spot America locations in Kissimmee and Atlanta.
As one of its many community initiatives, Fun Spot America has supported Florida Citrus Sports’ efforts in the West Lakes neighborhoods, hosting children from the area surrounding Camping World Stadium during the Florida Citrus Sports Foundation’s MVP Summer Camp, as well as the VRBO Citrus Bowl Day for Kids in December.
“My dad always taught me to treat others how you want to be treated, and that has been our guiding principle for over 20 years,” Fun Spot America CEO and owner John Arie, Jr. said. “We knew that partnering with Florida Citrus Sports was the right decision for us after seeing how involved they are in the community, and I look forward to growing together and making a HUGE impact on the best city in America.”
