Brad Paisley to Perform in Downtown Orlando on Camping World Kickoff Weekend
As the 2016 college football season kicks off, country music superstar Brad Paisley and WME | IMG will bring Paisley’s show to Downtown Orlando to provide free entertainment for Ole Miss and Florida State fans, and the Central Florida community, in advance of the Camping World Kickoff game.
“The Country Nation College Tour presented by Frontier Communications” will roll into Downtown Orlando for a show on Sunday, September 4th outside City Hall. Additional venue and access information will be released at a later date.
One day later, the Rebels and Seminoles will meet one mile down the road at Camping World Stadium as part of a blockbuster opening weekend for the 2016 college football season.
Other College Tour dates include West Virginia University on September 9th and The Ohio State University on September 15th. Additional university stops on the tour will be announced in the coming weeks.
More than 120,000 fans took advantage of Paisley’s inaugural free Country Nation College Tour concerts in 2015.
“If you like bigtime college football and country music, Downtown Orlando is the place to be on Labor Day weekend,” said Florida Citrus Sports CEO Steve Hogan. “We’re excited to host Brad Paisley on the night before the inaugural Camping World Kickoff game and add even more to the experience for fans of FSU, Ole Miss, and the Orlando community.”
Paisley’s “Country Nation” single from his chart-topping album, Moonshine in the Trunk, debuted in 2015. Written by Paisley and his longtime collaborators Chris DuBois and Kelley Lovelace, “Country Nation” is a celebration of the college spirit and America’s passion for sports that weaves-in a shout-out to 18 college sports mascots.
IMG, which serves more than 200 universities nationwide, is a division of WME | IMG, which also represents Paisley and brokered the college tour deal.
