“Cathy’s contributions to our organization — as a member, board chair, and executive — are too many to list,” Florida Citrus Sports CEO Steve Hogan said. “Her experience and drive helped lead us through one of the greatest periods of growth and change in our history. Though we’re excited to see what she does next, we look forward to keeping her around as part of the FCS family.”
Weeden’s long history in sports management includes five years with IMG College and 16 years with the Fox regional sports networks in Florida and Arizona, where she served in a variety of roles, including SVP and general manager. A native Central Floridian, her professional career started with a paper route for the Daytona Beach Evening News. She would go on to graduate from the UCF with a B.A. in Journalism, and later received the Professional Achievement Award from UCF’s College of Arts and Sciences and the University’s Distinguished Alumnus Award.
Cathy has been a leader, a mentor, and a trusted colleague for nearly a decade on staff. We wish her luck on the road ahead and plan to see her again soon.
