Florida Citrus Sports Mourns the Passing of Harvey Massey

Today we mourn the loss of a legend. Harvey Massey was a champion of Orlando since he arrived in our community nearly four decades ago.

You might think that building a company the size of Massey Services would consume all of Harvey’s time. However, he always found time for his family and his community. We will be forever grateful for the time and energy he gave our organization.

Please join us in celebrating the memories and accomplishments of a true gentleman.
Harvey served as the President of the board from 1998-99 and Chair from 1999-2000.

Beyond his board service, he was a trailblazer and a mentor to many in the organization.
In 2006, Harvey was a key leader in the Community Venues project, coining his famous phrase “Do them all! Do them now! Do them right!”

He received just about every recognition or distinction you could think of, including our own Howard Palmer Award, bestowed in 2010.

His legacy with FCS continues today through the leadership and support of his son Tony Massey, current President Ed Dougherty and so many other Massey Services team members.

Our hearts go out to Carol, Angela, Tony, Andrea, their families and the entire Massey Services family.
