Florida State Spring Football Game To Kick at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9
Florida Citrus Sports will host Florida State football’s 2016 Spring Game, the annual intersquad scrimmage, on Saturday, April 9 at Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium. The game will kick off at 3:00 p.m.
This will be the first time that the game has been played in The City Beautiful and will provide an opportunity for Seminole fans throughout the state a chance to see their team in a central location while also giving Orlando residents a chance to see some college football action during the offseason.
The Seminoles are expected to once again compete for the national championship in 2016. The team was ranked No. 4 by The Bleacher Report in a poll that aggregated the early preseason polls to formulate a single consensus poll. In addition to returning some outstanding student-athletes, the ‘Noles put together the No. 1 recruiting class in 2016 according to ESPN, giving a boost to an already talented squad.
Festivities will begin on Friday, April 8th at I-Drive 360, where the traditional pre-Spring Game pep rally takes place from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m. The event will feature appearances from The Marching Chiefs, the Seminole cheerleaders, and a free concert by the Velcro Pygmies.
General admission tickets to the game are just $5 in advance and $10 on the day of the game.
