Shannon Clark Recognized Among Orlando Business Journal C-Level Honorees

FCSports Chief Customer Officer Shannon Clark was included in the Orlando Business Journal’s list of “C-Level” Award winners for 2014. She was recognized in the nonprofit category as a COO and included in the OBJ’s luncheon celebrating all honorees held on Friday, July 18.

With nearly 20 years of experience at FCSports, Clark is one of the organization’s longest-tenured employees. She has been been deeply involved with our direct customers, including local members, charitable organizations and bowl fans, on a daily basis. Before being named Chief Customer Officer, she was also a Senior Director overseeing events, customer accounts and the Florida Citrus Sports Foundation.

As Chief Customer Officer, Clark’s manages a number of public-facing areas: ticketing operations, event operations and customer relationship management chief among them. Her close relationship to the City of Orlando has grown further in the past year, as she has become FCSports’ primary contact with the Citrus Bowl construction team. Along with CEO Steve Hogan, she is the most knowledgeable person on staff regarding reconstruction plans and will be critical in representing the new stadium’s chief tenant as the process comes to a close this fall.

As a result of the all-new lower bowl in the reconstructed Citrus Bowl as well as changes in seating contracts with bowl partners from the Atlantic Coast, Big 12, Big Ten and Southeastern conferences, Clark had to almost completely re-design Florida Citrus Sports’ ticketing packages. The result has been an ongoing effort to maintain membership while introducing the new stadium’s amenities.

She is an Orlando native, the daughter of a former FCSports president (Hon. Jeff Clark, past FCSports president and 1994 Howard Palmer Award winner) and a graduate of Edgewater High (class of ’88) and Florida State University (class of ’92). She is a former member of the EHS Crew team and still competes with teammates as part of the school’s masters crew division.
