Virginia Tech completed its 20th consecutive winning season with a 13-10 overtime victory over Rutgers in the 2012 Russell Athletic Bowl. The Hokies rallied from a 10-0 deficit to tie the game in the fourth quarter before Cody Journell’s field goal in overtime gave them their first lead of the game. Nobody had a better week than Virginia Tech cornerback Antone Exum. Earlier this week Exum gave his Best Buy gift cards to three kids in need and gained national attention. The Virginia Tech Hokies and Rutgers Scarlet Knights have been selected to play in this year’s Russell Athletic Bowl. Set to take place December 28 from Orlando’s Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium, the game will kick off at 5:30 p.m. and be televised nationally by ESPN.
